I could probably take a look and see who pulled papers -- but I have been concerned about this and figured I would ask in this forum. Is anyone that lives in the Central Square area, any of the loft buildings, etc., planning on running for the City Councilor opening?

I ask because I really think that it's important someone that has a true commitment to our community run for this opening. I figured by stirring up some conversation maybe we could get to know those that may be/are running, and see who we can back in the election?

I had considered running - but really, I don't think that I have the time necessary that I would like to put into it. I mean, you have to look at it as more than showing up for some meetings, it really is an important position - and this why I am so eager to see who is running, and who I might be able to help out to make sure that they win!

Seth, I REALLY think you should run....had you thought about it?

I don't have the time to devote to it right now. Even though I'd be able to drop my evening job if I were elected, there's still the matter of taking classes required for my day job. The next time around may be a different story. I have spoken with Brendan Creighton, the guy running un-opposed in our ward. We're most likely going to have an event closer to the election to meet everyone who's running.

Understandable -- it kills me, I really wanted to run. But I guess not enough, since I too realized that I don't have the time necessary at this point in life, as it is important that I spend some time pursuing my career, and what ultimately gets my bills paid as well. Even assuming that the guy running will be a good fit -- I hate when something as important as a seat like this goes unopposed. But, perhaps Brendan is the right man for the job, and will make us proud : )

I thought that by having someone living directly in DTL/Central Square, we could be sure that we had someone looking out for our direct interests. And out of everyone in the area, I am surprised that I was the only one that pulled papers initially....next time around Seth, you can count on my vote!
