Welcome to the Lynn Happens Forum. I'm your Admin and Moderator, Seth.

I've only been in Lynn a little over a year. I moved from a community far more active in online discourse and I've been feeling that absence here. The local papers do what they do, but they do not allow for an easy, and more importantly, nearly instant dialog for Lynn residents.

The other reason for starting this board is to promote and retain businesses. Please shop and eat local and post your experiences here. I also hope that local business owners can connect here and share ideas and talent. [Disclaimer: I do not own a business]

I also want Lynn Happens to be your first stop in finding out what's happening, from Farmer's Markets to Arts events to bands and DJ's at local and nearby venues. If your bar is having a theme night, tell us! If there's a neighborhood cleanup, tell us! You get the idea.

I'm always interested in new venues. I should probably wait until after October 2nd because the fall is really busy.. I also do different types of music so we can see what works best..
